If you are a caring, responsible, compassionate and creative person, we’d love to have you join our team of caregivers that help our family members achieve their greatest potential as they work to make their dreams come true.  Our Direct Support Professionals are an invaluable member of our team, working closely with our inviduals daily.  Positions include openings for Day, Evening and Awake Overnight Shifts.

Applicants must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or a GED and a valid driver's license with a good driving record (no more than two points).  The State of Maryland Department of Developmental Disabilities requires that you be 21 years old.  All applicants must have the ability to lift at least 25 pounds (more in some positions).  Applicants must successfully complete a MD Board of Nursing Math and Reading test prior to an interview being extended, and must undergo a criminal background check, a T.B. test, a driving record check, and a drug screening before starting employment with us.

Volunteer

Providing appropriate and enriching services requires an extensive network of staff, family members and volunteers.  If you have a special talent you would like to share please contact us!  Whether you have a couple of hours each week, a month, or as a one-time adventure, there's always room for you!  You can volunteer by yourself, or you can bring a team of folks.

Some volunteer activities include, but are not limited to:

•    Activity Support such as arts & crafts, gardening
•    Kent Center Athletic Club Coaching
•    Baking for special events and holidays
•    Serve on a committee
•    Music Appreciation
•    Special Events (i.e. Goosebump Jump set up, registration, etc.)
